9/13/2023 – T and T Consulting Services, Inc. (T&T) is excited to announce the award of a 2-year contract by the Department of Commerce, National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), Tsunami.gov (NTWC). This contract focuses on modernizing the Tsunami.gov website in order to have centralized access to tsunami information from data sources, including the National Tsunami Warning Center and the Pacific Tsunami Warning Center. This will involve a redesign to enhance user experience.

Our primary objective is to enhance the user experience (UX) by minimizing frustration and optimizing the overall usability and adoption of the system. Our approach to UX is methodically crafted and grounded in a comprehensive understanding of users, their tasks, and the diverse environments in which they operate. When conceptualizing and designing systems, we go beyond isolated elements and instead focus on capturing and addressing the entirety of the user experience.

T and T’s approach to the Tsunami.gov framework prioritizes stakeholder engagement, iterative feedback loops, and draws upon extensive experience to breathe new life into the website. Our goal is to ensure an optimal experience for a diverse audience, including the general public, commercial users, interested organizations, and government officials worldwide.

Central to our strategy is the active involvement of stakeholders, as their insights are invaluable in shaping the functionality and design of Tsunami.gov. Through iterative feedback loops, we create a dynamic process that allows continuous improvement, ensuring that the website remains responsive to evolving user needs and technological advancements.

We are excited about the opportunity to work alongside NOAA on this project and look forward to future endeavors.
